August 12th, 2019,
My apologies go out as I have not updated or posted my blog in a while. Here is an update with how I have been moving forward with this project during the summer of 2019 and how I hope to continue to move forward with this project in my freshman year of high school:
This summer I have gone into school to work on the formatting of the book and figuring out how to upload it to the self-publishing program I am using. On one of my first visits back I realized that I have much more work that needs to be done in order to make my poetry the best it can be. That means letting one of my advisers to work one on one with me to guide my work to be the best it can possibly be. I have been editing on my own and looking for things I am not exactly satisfied with, fixing it and getting ready to show the progress I have made.
The plan for when school starts up again for me is to hopefully complete this book as I will have more resources and time at school to work on these pieces. Publishing Soggy Sleeves & Dirty Knees is a dream of mine to accomplish and I am so close! I hope to advertise the book and its publishing in my hometown and even have a “meet and greet” type of event if there is enough buzz in the area. We will see where things go from there!
Again, sorry for the hiatus,

June 3rd, 2019
Today I finished formatting, writing, drawing and editing the first copy of Soggy Sleeves & Dirty Knees. I am more than excited to see how it turns out! My teacher who has been helping me along this journey is excited for me as well and will be putting it into the self-publishing program we are using.
Thank you to everyone who has pushed me forward and celebrated frantically in the hallway with me today when I officially finished it.
Until next time,
